Wow, that is going to be an interesting comparison. The only thing in common is American currency, lots of traffic, McDonald’s, and WalMart. The climate difference alone will be a big adjustment, I would imagine.

The difference is enormous. I lived in the Boston area over a year and have been in California many times. It’s like asking what is the difference between salt and pepper, or Coke and Pepsi.

The people of Massachusetts keep re-electing Teddy Kennedy and John Kerry. That should tell you something of their politics.

They speak with a unique accent – ‘yard’ comes out as “yaaaah-d”.

The BEACHES are COLD, and the weather is dismal in winter. Summers are HOT and HUMID.

It appears to have a low crime rate:

Personally, I lived there years ago, when I was stationed at Ft. Devens, MA (West of Boston, about 45 miles) and found it to be an interesting place, both in terms of people and history. The New England Aquarium and the Boston Museum of Science are first-rate. Supposedly the “Big Dig” made driving a lot easier, and the airport is not to hard to get to.

Remember, that area is the birthplace of the United States, so you’ll find lots of historical things to see and do. Explore, and you’re not too far from Vermont and New Hampshire (Ski Country) or Maine.

Dude, thats like vise versa for me. Cambridge isn’t too far from where I live. Like 15 minutes away. I’m moving to California hopefully before 2008 summer ends. Depends on the plans and stuff for my family. But I was born in California then moved here when I was like 4.

I just asked a question like this a few days ago. Funny. Everybody seems to make California seem like the best state out there. When you get to school here, prepare to be liked and loved. You tell everybody your from Cali and they will love yah. Especially the girls. Why? Cuz California is where all the celabraties roam and all the hollywood gods live.

The weather will either be cold, chilly, cool, or wet during most of the year. It depends. We have all four seasons but it gets pretty cold so you’ll have to buy sweaters and warm stuff like that. But its really warm during the summer of course. I’m guessing its sweaty in California. I go there once every year.

We got alot beaches but they are like 20-30 minutes away. Depends on what beach you wanna go to. The feel is cold and not that fun. Not alot of things happen over here. Haha, I know, encouraging right? People here are really nice and really mean so be careful, I guess.

It’s prettty clean over here and wherever you wanna go for like needs and stuff its always less than a half hour away so its pretty convientent. Mind telling me some stuff of califnornia?( you can email me. )

Good luck and have fun…if you can :p
